Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data touristic.pt collects, why, on what legal basis, who receives it and the rights you have.

Who we are

Touristic is a brand operated by Telyx Solutions, VAT PT318894696, Portugal. Telyx Solutions is the data controller for this website. Contact: geral@touristic.pt.

Data we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address and message.
• Newsletter and app waitlist: email address and, for the waitlist, optional first name, preferred platform (iPhone/Android), language, the page you signed up from and your consent.
• Trip planner and accounts: the trip details you enter and, if you create an account or sign in, your account data (such as email address and saved trips).
• Device, usage and online identifiers: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page, approximate location and cookie or similar identifiers, collected through Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google AdSense.

Purposes and legal bases

We rely on the following legal bases under article 6 of the GDPR:

• Consent (art. 6(1)(a)): marketing emails, the newsletter, the app waitlist and, in the EEA/UK/CH, analytics and advertising cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Contract or steps at your request (art. 6(1)(b)): providing accounts and the trip planner, and replying to your messages.
• Legitimate interests (art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the site secure, preventing abuse and operating essential features.
• Legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)): complying with tax, accounting and other legal requirements.

Advertising (Google)

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Third-party ad vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site.

Ads may be personalised (based on your interests and previous visits) or non-personalised (based on general context such as the page content and approximate location). In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, personalised ads are only shown with your consent.

Cookies and consent

We use necessary cookies (site operation, security, language, theme and storing your consent), analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Google AdSense). Details are in our Cookie Policy.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, consent is collected through Google's certified consent management platform, which follows the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the footer. We use Google Consent Mode, so Google tags adjust their behaviour to your choice. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising storage and personalisation.

Sharing and processors

We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf, or as described here: our website hosting and infrastructure providers, our email delivery provider, and Google (Analytics, Tag Manager and AdSense), which acts as an independent controller for some advertising purposes. We may also disclose data where required by law.

We do not sell personal data for money. However, the use of advertising cookies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or targeted advertising, under some US state privacy laws. You can opt out using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer, where shown, or by enabling Global Privacy Control.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or another lawful safeguard.

Retention

• Contact messages: up to 24 months.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• App waitlist: until the app launches plus 12 months, or until you unsubscribe.
• Accounts and saved trips: until you delete your account.
• Analytics data: according to our Google Analytics retention setting (14 months).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados), at www.cnpd.pt.

If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, you may have the right to know and access the personal information we hold, to delete and correct it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may use an authorised agent, and if we decline a request you may appeal by replying to our decision.

To exercise any right, email geral@touristic.pt. We may need to verify your identity. We respond within 30 days under the GDPR (extendable where the law allows) and within 45 days for US state requests.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, such as encrypted connections and access controls, to protect personal data. No online service can be completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will be highlighted on the site.
